Global Azure Bootcamp 2018

Several cities (270!) around the world are today running in parallel one of the most relevant community events focused on Azure, the Global Azure Bootcamp 2018. It is Saturday, but many professionals and technology enthusiasts decided to spend part of the weekend to learn and share experiences on Azure. I had the pleasure to present in Verona’s edition, opening the day with the Keynote (together with Francesco Valerio Buccoli and Marco Parenzan), and with a breakout session focused on the Azure Data Platform. I would like to thank the community CloudGen, that organized the day for the 100 people that attended. Below a couple of photos taken during the day (Diego and Marco represented Insight at our sponsor booth).Ciao!Francesco@francedit

Microsoft Digital Week, Data Platforms 2018 and Global Azure Bootcamp 2018

I have been quite busy with a few things in the last months, and I didn’t give a proper attention to this blog (I am also a bit of a lazy person sometimes ). So I am writing this article to do a quick recap of my extra-work activities done in the last months and what I am planning to do in the upcoming weeks.November 2017 -  WPC 2017 (Milano) – I worked with the rest of the team on the agenda of the conference. I think the conference went pretty well, based on the feedbacks that we received. I wrote a book, together with Roberto, on the Azure Data Platform, and it will be published soon. It has been a big effort and I literally spent days and nights of my personal time on that, I hope you will like it, once published. I have a lot of people to thank for the support, I will write an article once the book will be available.March 2018 - Microsoft Digital Week (Milano) – One entire week dedicated to technology, hosted by Microsoft in the Microsoft House. I presented together with my friend and colleague Diego a session on cloud and artificial intelligence, describing the work that we are doing for our customersApril 2018 – Data Platforms 2018 (Phoenix) - I will present a session on Azure Data Lake. I have never been to Arizona before, so I will also try to spend some time to be a tourist there. April 2018 – Global Azure Bootcamp 2018 (Verona) – I will present the new version of Azure Data Factory, that introduces a few interesting features for ETL scenarios. That’s all for now, I am planning some additional activities for communities, and I will use them as an excuse to publish another blog post, hope soon Ciao!Francesco@francedit
